I like that it is always a class and led by instructors. I usually walk into a gym and don't have a clue what to do so I get on the treadmill and maybe lift some weights at the circuits-without a clue as if anything I am doing is correct or beneficial! Love having direct instruction!!!
The programs are never the same and the trainers are encouraging without being zealous. Also, I appreciate how they all know our name. Not something I thought would resonate with me but it does. Overall, a great experience.
I work in an industry that can become sedentary at times when I'm stuck behind the desk. With young kids at home, exercising in the mornings or after work on my own became a rare occurrence. As a result, I gained weight and got officially "out of shape". Orangetheory workouts are certainly difficult, but they're structured in a way that make it possible for people on all points of the fitness spectrum to exercise in the same class and keep coming back.
I've never known how to give myself an actual workout on a treadmill. There are different goals each day and the trainer actually pushes you to achieve them. There's no time to mess around and you can't help but to compete a little with the person next to you. Each day I have come home feeling extremely exhausted and sore but also better than I've felt in a long time.
