Absolutely everything! The best coaches, upbeat atmosphere and variety in workouts. Love that the coaches are quick to motivate me and keep me motivated.
I like that I don’t have to think about the workout. Someone is constantly telling me what to do. I make a lot of decisions in my life and at work and so taking the question “how do I work out today? off the table has been a game changer.
PROS:
-most of all I love that I don't have to come up with a plan/workout on my own
- the accountability aspect - I can't wake up and decide I don't feel like going, or procrastinate and to go later which then just throws off my day
- the energy/vibe of the instructors and the room
- the quiet competition with myself and others, an instructor to push me
- been pleasantly surprised by the variety of the workouts given the constraints of a single room with only certain equipment
I like that I have someone to let me know when my form is wrong. I like that I don’t have to think about what I am doing…just do it. I also like the aspect of getting constant biofeedback that I can use to adjust my effort.
It felt challenging but I didn’t feel like I was dying. I also liked the motivation that I received from having people around me doing the same workout and a coach to provide attention and motivation. I also liked that the workouts themselves weren’t too technically complicated that I’d spend more time trying to figure out mechanics than I would benefiting from the workout. I’m an introvert as well so this is also challenging me to leave my social comfort zone.
I love the variety and different options of workouts. I am able to come in and do the workout and push myself for whatever I need that day. Some days I am motivated and will really push myself but other days I really need the extra push that the awesome coaches and fellow participants offer.
Well… it’s probably easier to tell you what I don’t like and that’s only one thing. During the 3G if you start on the floor the warm up is just comical. Mostly this is because I’m way too tight to touch my toes at the beginning of the workout.
But honestly I’ve really enjoy the strength 50 classes even the ones my wife reluctantly forgets to tell me that it’s all lower until right before we walk in. I believe the strength part of a workout is something we all need more of and orange theory adding this was a brilliant idea.
The workouts are pre-planned but each one is different. All I have to do is show up and follow the coach's instructions. Afterwards, I feel exhausted but successful. The coaches keep watch to provide corrections when needed and encouragement to push harder.
