I love how each workout is designed and organized, how they challenge each muscle group and our cardio fitness, and that our coaches are knowledgeable, helpful, motivating and care about each individual in the class.
I love never having to think about what type of workout to do. When I arrive at OTF, my daily workout is already planned - I do what the coach tells me to do. The workouts are tough, they push you and sometimes not so fun. But you would never do these types of workouts on your own. You always feel accomplished when you leave OTF! OTF holds you accountable by making you pre-register for your classes. You have to cancel within 8 hours or you are charged a fee. There are days that I don't feel like working out (we all have days like this) but I just go and give it my all because I do not want to pay a fee. But this is also tough as there are days when you need to work late, you get sick or have an emergency. Sometimes things are out of your control. This fee is tough because you want to work out but can't and are stuck with a fee. I suggest to OTF to give each member a "pass" once a month. If something pops up, you can cancel and not have to pay a fee.
My first class at Orange Theory was a great workout! I enjoyed every aspect of the workout and thought the instructor did a fabulous job. I like that it is a group fitness class with the ability to personalize the workout to each individuals fitness levels and needs. I also like the aspect of setting goals throughout the workout whether it be HR goals or goal speed for different components of the workout. Overall, great experience!
Does not get boring. Always changes. May sound crazy too but I like the dim lights and how it lets me stay in my zone and not feel like everyone is looking at me.... especially in early am classes. Ha!
I love the variety and intensity of the workouts. I am pushed to do things that I would be unlikely to motivate myself to do on my own and also am encouraged to push my limits, especially on the treadmill. My favorite coaches are great at providing just the level of support to individuals in the class, I almost always feel like I'm being given the right amount of attention and am able to make progress every week.
The shorter amount of time on the treadmill at a higher level of intensity has made my long distance running pace outside improve by A LOT and it feels amazing!!
I never get bored at OTF and have seen dramatic changes in my running performance!
