I like the consistency of the trainers, their expertise, their ability to motivate me, to push me. I have never been consistent with a gym and I am a regular at Orange Theory. I love that it is a class, I like that I am given direction on what to do next. This has been the best solution for me.
Palo Alto trainers are great!
I like the variety of exercises and every time I go to otf I feel like I am being challenged. At the Palo Alto location, I love how there are community activities like wear your favorite sports team clothing day, or some fun competitive work out sessions like partner workouts and logging in our best times, distances, and what not. As a regular, I start to get to know the other regular members and these activities make it fun for us cooperate and compete with one another.
Some things can be improved upon. Awhile ago there was a signed to help members be aware of the end-of-class stretching so as not to enter class and be disruptive. Unfortunately, that sign has been taken down since the addition of 5 minutes per class. I think it would benefit all members to remind them to wait until class is completely finished before entering.
Also, I have seen members on their cell phones during class and it can be quite distracting.
All in all, members can reap the benefits if any unspoken etiquette (like the above and more) were to be written down as a reminder so that we can all enjoy the challenge and social aspect of our workout space.
I like that it never seems to stay the same, so I don't get bored or have time to think about the fact that I don't like working out. And I really like the ability to monitor my heart rate-it is real-time feedback that motivates me in the moment.
The variety, intensity, results, positive attitude of the staff. Otf has changed my life!
The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes Kraig dips tobacco in class. It's inappropriate for him to be doing that in a health studio. He is my absolute favorite teacher which is why I was so disappointed. Please tell him to keep being his amazing self but leave the dip outside.
I am a CR from the Folsom and Sac-Midtown studio and had an enjoyable class last Sunday morning. Shout out to both the desk and the trainer for a great workout. Only concern is that I didn't receive my printout (no big deal), but I did receive your monthly newsletter. Perhaps my email address in OTBeat and MBO are different. See you next time !!
Anthony is the best coach!! I always try to get to his classes. At every workout he is positive, motivating and genuine. All coaches should be trained by Anthony. He would never say "I know you want to, but don't give up". When other coaches say this the lactic acid fills my legs and it's hard to keep going. His positive coaching is a tremendous asset to the studio!
