I am a healthcare professional. I have often read about EPOC and thought it was a ridiculous theoretical application for performance athletes. I have always exercised but as I approached middle age I was not able to shed weight as easy so I got serious about my diet and I added Orangetheory just two to three times per week for 6 months and I lost 20 pounds. I have managed to keep that weight loss for more than a year so I am a big believer in achieving EPOC whenever I exercise. Orangetheory makes this goal easy to achieve. As a long time runner and exercise enthusiast, Orangetheory has been a game-changer for me. I've always been conditioned to think that running for a minimum of 60 minutes was the only effective exercise until I started OTF. With "only" 55 minutes of activity, I feel that I have the most efficient work out.
I love the variety of the profiles which incorporate aerobic, anaerobic, strength training, plyometrics and HIIT. The coaches are very knowledgeable, highly-trained and a great resource.
I recommend this facility to anyone who is tired of redundancy, seeks improvement and strives for athletic improvement/endurance.

I really like the variety of workouts. When I go to a standard gym I do not get the workout that I get at OFT. I have been a member of the Shelton location since it opened and love working out there. I also run 5ks and some 1/2 marathons and the workouts have improved my running.
I love everything about OTF Shelton. I began my OTF journey with two-day-a-week workouts
nine months ago, and loved it so much, I quickly upgraded my membership to unlimited and now attend 5-6 workouts a week. The encouragement and motivation begins the minute you arrive and continues until you leave. All the Shelton trainers are energetic and knowledgeable and each have different coaching styles and methods. Even though it is a "group" class, they know the strengths and weaknesses of their members and work with everyone to make it more of an individual workout. Each class is a different workout which keeps my interest and provides me with an insight to different exercises and challenges that work for me. I am never bored with my workout or stuck in a plateau. OTF Shelton is not like the big "cookie cutter" gyms. It's size gives way to a family-like comfort and personal feel. I would highly recommend OTF Shelton, you won't be disappointed!
Very efficient. I know I'm going to go in and out in an hour and get a good sweat. I really like the trainers too. One suggestions: could you have a sign in sheet so the first people there get dibs on the treadmill? It gets tense when we're all lining up at the door. Also I think you might get a lot of interest from teachers in a class at around 3 pm. I like to work out right when I get out of school. I'm sure other teachers would too instead of waiting until 4:15.
