Pretty thorough all around workout in short amount of time. You are encouraged to push yourself while still being able to go at your own pace. Instructor clearly communicates and explains details with a patient friendly attitude.
Hardest workout I could possibly do in the amount of time. I've seen huge improvements in my strength and cardiovascular endurance over the past 1 1/2 years. Also love the coaches.
Couple of things I'd change: music is often a little too loud (with some coaches more than others). Also (and I know this comes from corporate and I don't know how much wiggle room the coaches have), if there was any room for personalization in the workouts based on what someone has most recently done, that would be great. For example, on the weight floor we are always given "options" and "challenges" for the different exercises. I think that's great, and I take advantage of them (on both ends, depending on the exercise). I wonder if there could also be an "option" based on the previous couple of days. So if someone has been in 3 days in a row, and there were a lot of shoulder exercises all of those days, maybe there could be an optional exercise to work a slightly different muscle group. I've seen this at other gyms.
I still LOVE the workout and the gym and as far as I'm concerned I'll go there for the rest of my life, and I still recommend it to anyone who want to hear about it. However, as my friends are almost all in the their 40s, my recommendation comes with a warning that they need to take plenty of rest days and listen to their bodies to prevent injury.
The manager Juli is amazing and has built a great team! The owner Andy is very active in the studio. This studio is very active in the community with happy hour events and local races. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. To top it all off, the workouts are very effective and are suitable for all skill levels which really helps because as you progress, the workouts don’t get boring, you’re just able to challenge yourself more! Thank you!
I loved the variety of the workout and that there was a instructor telling us what to do as well as push us to keep going and go further. When I am alone, I do not push myself as hard. I can feel the results the day after, so I know I had a great workout. Seeing my statistics on the board helped to push me to keep going and get more minutes in the orange zone. Really loved it and am thinking about signing up for 6 months for the 8 sessions a month package!
Everything! Every day is a new challenge and your body never has an opportunity to adapt so you won't plateau. Classes are small enough that the trainers are able to make sure your form is correct so you get the most out of each workout. OTF is addicting! Love it!
The science behind it is proven and it is a full body workout that isn't just an aerobics class. Plus, it gets changed up so it isn't boring. The instructors are awesome and very motivating. I enjoyed how easy the instructions were to follow. It was also not intimidating at all!
Great workout! Friendly staff is there to greet you and available to answer any questions. OTF offers a sense of community among its members which provides more motivation for a better workout experience.
I like the group class with the feeling of an individual workout. It promotes competition even though you can select your own pace. Results are proven in a short time. Selecting a set workout time holds you accountable. It is unlike traditional gyms that can become repetitive and boring.
I like that I can monitor my heart rate. I have a low max, so the monitor, for me, isn't used to see if I'm pushing hard enough, but to make sure I'm. It pushing too hard. The ease of peeking at the screen is easier than watching on a phone app while working out.
