I like the fact that even though we are in a group setting you still get individual attention. I find it especially beneficial because I am in my 60's and not familiar with weight training or treadmills and need the direction that OTF gives.
The trainers at OTF Wheaton are absolutely the best in the area. I specifically come to this location to workout with Coach Will, Brian and Kelly. They are beyond motivating and always leaving feeling the best about myself. I also enjoy Coach Andrea's classes. Kathy at the front desk provides great customer service even if it's just giving everyone the most friendly hello super early in the morning.
1 hour of a workout that combines bith cardio amd weights. Perfect workout for getting over plateaus or getting into shape. I do think that doing Orange over 5 days a week leads to some burnout and overuse injuries. Despite the trainers efforts to let anyone know to "take it easy" if this is a recovery workout or ask about modifications if injured. The nature of the workout is intense. It's hard to take it easy and I've noticed quite a few people go too hard on days they should be doing active recovery. I think the trainers do a great job rotating around during the weight sessions correcting form and advising on alternatives. I think the message should be doing it "right" over doing "a lot" should be expressed. Taking momentum out of the weight sessions and going full range of motion will better serve the client in results and may reduce injury. FYI: I have a degree in exercise physiology and am a certified Personal Trainer so I'm more aware of this kind of stuff. The trainers at the Wheaton Orange are AWESOME and I recognize the difficulty of one person being able to accomplish some of this. Overall, I really love this program, it's set up, it variety, and getting a great workout in just one hour.
I love sam's music selection!!!!!! And of course i love how every single trainer encourages and pushes me in every class!!!!!
OTF Wheaton is amazing. I've been going for about a year and the results are incredible. I started with 2 days a week and within a few months switched to unlimited. My "push pace" when I started has now become my "base pace" and I can run longer and faster than I ever thought possible for myself.
Yes it's expensive but it is worth every single dollar. OTF is less expensive than a personal trainer but you get all the benefits of a personal trainer. Especially Brian and Kelly - the trainers are always watching and adjusting to make exercises harder, or encouraging you to grab a heavier weight. The trainers are all great here.
I love OTF Wheaton!
I love that the workout is always different and challenges me in different ways every time. I also like that the trainers know me and my abilities and know how to push me to do more each time. I run faster, row harder and lift heavier than I ever have before and it is all due to the personal attention of the trainers!
