Staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. Kelly who was the class trainer took time with me ahead of class to go over everything that was going to happen in the class as this was my first time. During the class Kelly checked in on me and gave words of encouragement and helped with making sure I was doing the exercise properly. I had a few areas of concern that I did not want to overdue it and she made sure that didn't happen. The whole experience felt like I had a personal trainer even though she was for the whole class. Wish I would have joined earlier!!!!
It's different all of the time. I like that the class is a circuit that incorporates 3 different areas of exercise. Coaches are great. They push you when you need it but let you go at your own pace at the same time.
Love how tough the workouts are and how many calories I burn each session. Would love more variety though. Often feel like we repeat exercises on the floor. With the equipment available, there are so many more options.
First, I love that the Orange Theory Workout is customizable to everyone's various body types/injuries. I am 30 years old, and was diagnosed with severe chondromalacia (barely any cartilage left) in both my knees at 25, and had to have surgery a few years after. I always felt I was being judged that I couldn't keep up with other workout classes or bootcamps I would join, and if I did try to keep up, I would always end up re-injuring myself. With Orange Theory, I can do power-walking on an intense incline to avoid the painful impact running and jogging has on my knees, and the trainers are awesome at coming over and helping me if I need a modification on a floor exercise that may just be too much for my knees that day. What's also great, is that because I have the heart monitor, I can tell that I am getting just as an intense of workout with these modifications as everyone else in the room. I no longer feel physically limited in a gym setting because of my injuries thanks to Orange Theory.
Also, a much more simple reason I love working out with Orange Theory...its not boring! They keep you moving constantly, keep the music pumping, and the trainers know you by name and keep you going!
I love that every time I am at OT Wheaton the atmosphere causes me to push myself and want to give everything I have. The trainers are super kind but also very motivating and determined for everyone to get a little better every single workout.
