Orpheus is a great community and has not only taught my daughter how to play piano, but truly developed her "ear" which is a skill that transcends playing her instrument.

I like that there's a group class & an individual class that reinforces the musical concepts. My kids have a lot of fun in the classes. I do not agree with the use of candy as a reward/incentive -- this is because my kids have been diagnosed as moderate to severe ADHD. Sugar goes straight to their head. Sure, it's 1 piece, but that makes my kids hyper for the entire evening (a school evening). I would rather see stickers or bookmarks as a prize (something that's not food based). Sorry to be "that mom".

I believe Orpheus is the best music experience that I have ever found. Most programs that I have experienced are either geared toward younger learners or for more experienced musicians. I have watched many of the students over the years, my children included, being introduced to their instrument to careful preparation for collegiate tryouts and every step in between. The staff at Orpheus does more than teach an instrument, they inspire and instill a lasting love for music.

Teacher and staff are great. Ms Mengya is very good at teaching young kids with great attention to detail and encouraging attitude. The recitals are also very good, it helps kids build confidence a lot. The overall atmosphere at the school is very good.

Orpheus is a wonderful school, offering not only great teachers but also opportunities for students to perform. We especially like the Friendship Concert. One of the greatest thing about Orpheus is the amazing, patient, and helpful staff. They are all gems: friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. We have been at Orpheus for quite a few years now, and appreciate the school's flexibility, understanding, professionalism, and commitment to the students and their families. We are delighted to watch our kids grow into confident and happy musicians -- thank you for helping to make it happen!

My instructor, Jeremy Waldrip. I appreciate having such a highly qualified, experienced and excellent instructor. I’ve taken guitar lessons off and on for over 40 years and he is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had.
