Excellent service for my heavily used commuter bike. Have been going for many years and each time I pick it up from a tune-up it looks and rides like new. Summit service is not the cheapest around, but the quality of work is worth it for me.
Rental of the Trek Madone road bike was awesome and the 11-34 gearing on the bike allowed me to complete the ride!
Nick was great with a call to me to confirm my questions/concerns on gearing for the rental bike.
Chris did a great job of setting up my fit which was nearly perfect for the ride with no saddle issues(given the climbing difficulty of the ride, and the winding technical descents, this was a key factor to be comfortable sitting in the saddle for 100K and 6600 feet of climb) and allowing me to finish the ride.
I would definitely be back with renting a road bike from Summit Bicycles in Palo Alto, CA.
Best regards,
Vinh
Personal attention from sales people who are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond. I just went in for a part, but was informed on better practices for bicycle maintenance and introduced to a new tool.
Arnie was super helpful. He's really knowledgeable and also he just has a cool vibe, like he was very patient with us and thought ahead about the bikes we might want to try. We came in for a TREK FX #2 model, and he ordered a 2, 3, 4 and also a 6 for me to try out. We ended up going for the best model that he offered us in that series, the FX #6 because the electronic gear shifter is really nice and the ride was a lot smoother thanks to the carbon wheels. It's a really nice bike. Thanks Arnie for working with us and for helping me customize the ride for maximum comfort! I really like the convenience of the location and that I can come in and have an adjustment made needed, as well as a tune up.
(Brandon was also helpful as far as his expertise. Thank you.)
The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the turnaround time was amazing. I did notice on thing, my seat as a bit loose when I first got on it. I think someone adjusted it and didn't tighten it down. Not a big deal.
