I purchased a Trek Emonda from the Summit shop on California Ave. and had a great experience throughout the process. The management, Nick, sales, Alain, and service, Marcus and Gavin, are knowledgeable and helpful. I really appreciate how accommodating the team is with walk-in service requests. Overall, a great shop with great people!
I brought my wife's Rad Power Bike to Summit Bicycle. The store was very clean and the service mechanic, Gavin, was very helpful. He explained that he had to call Rad Power Bike's to determine the cause and fix. He said that it could take a two weeks to get the bike back. Before I had returned home, I had an email from Gavin saying that he had already found the cause and steps for fixing. I got the bike back in 5 days. I will be returning back to the the Palo Alto Summit store!
Although I have yet to buy a bicycle from them, I think it’s a really good incentive to offer lifetime free tuneups on bikes purchased through them.
I’m saving up to just that..
That’s a big incentive to not buy from their competitor.
I'm a service/repair customer—never bought a bike there. I've always found staff helpful and courteous, and the repairs are done when promised. I switched from Mike's Bikes when they moved to Middlefield Road, and Summit does just fine even though it's a smaller operation.
Very knowledgable crew. Works with the customer to develop a good plan to fix problems. Mechanics aren’t just bike mechanics , they’re riders also so they can relate.
Very helpful team. I don't mind driving the extra miles to the Palo Alto location for the exceptional staff members and quality service they have provided.
