I am a regular at the Park Heights J. Group exercise classes are my usual destination. And they are fabulous, with top notch instructors! And the remodeling is almost finished. We're in new rooms which are really great.
I joined JCC 11 years ago when I moved to Baltimore. I just go to Kathy Reed's 2 classes - Tai Chi and extra gentle yoga. I feel the health benefits of flexibility and help with balance. The attendees are very congenial.
The JCC (both centers) in the greater Washington area are a haven and hub for Jewish life in every category; from physical activities/exercise to programming of all kinds, events, camps and pretty much anything you can think of. Based on how much "bang" you get for your buck, it's one of the best investments under the sun.

Everyone is so welcoming and inclusive, with the exception of a tough interaction I had at the front desk when I initially came in to get my barcode set up. Once we got over that hiccup, I've had no issues!
