It seems like a low impact way to work on improving core and balance, and I felt myself standing much straighter after only 1 session. It is also a mental challenge to connect with and be aware of all the different body functions involved and that is good for the aging brain.
I absolutely LOVE my Thursday night Reformer class with Daniel G. He is a very motivational instructor. I was anxious about giving the machines a try, but Daniel’s workshop last fall gave me the confidence to try.
Daniel is highly skilled, versatile and integrates many moves into a single class. He knows his students well and modifiies so everyone can achieve success. I have taken 10 group classes and have improved tremendously. I just purchased an additional 15 class card because Daniel has made me believe in myself and my ability to master what was I thought was unattainable. The studio is immaculate, schedule is always running on time, the environment is charming and welcoming.
I was admittedly a little worried about taking a pilates class at a facility outside Manhattan (the only location I'd done pilates previously), as I thought the caliber of instructors may not be as strong. I was hugely incorrect (at least so far, based off my first class with David!). He was amazing - love his instruction style, always talking, constantly giving feedback/instruction, extremely observant. After my first class I purchased a group class package.
