The staff is very friendly and nice. Always greets me when I come inside and when I am leaving. The gym itself is very clean. Whenever I am there I always see the staff vacuuming, dusting, cleaning. It’s so nice. Bathrooms are very clean as well. Massage chairs and tanning beds are also spotless. Great job.

This Planet Fitness location is amazing! The gym is always super clean, and the staff is really friendly. I honestly have no complaints. The locker rooms are by far some of the cleanest I’ve seen. Seriously spotless! I used to go to a Planet Fitness in Chicago, and what a big difference. This one isn’t as crowded, and it just feels more welcoming overall. The equipment is up to date, everything is in stock, and I haven’t come across anything broken. I just feel really comfortable here. I don’t feel judged, and both the staff and other gym members are genuinely friendly. It’s a great environment to work out in!

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since June 2021. The employees at the Addison, IL location are always cordial, answer questions, kept the gym clean. There is a guy that works at the Addison, IL location that is quite old (from appearances) and he gets down on the floor to make sure the machines are cleaned underneath. I have never had any issues with this location or any of their employees. I have worked with Axel since July 2021 with many results. He has helped me get stronger before my knee surgery in 2023 and even after. Whenever I am at the club I always check with him if he has time and he always makes time for me and anyone who asks for help. He is very courteous, looks out for the members and is a genuine great person to work with. My husband has been a member since July 2023. Now I have been married to him for 50 years and he always said I WILL NEVER GO TO THE GYM even when I ask. He is a bigger man and is currently 76 years old. After having my knee surgery my husband drove me to the gym starting about 8 weeks after surgery. After driving me to workout he would sit and see all the types of people who were working out. I introduced Axel to him and they started working together to get him stronger. After working with Axel for the last 2 years he has gotten stronger and has build muscles that he had lost. He even lost the last 20 lbs. he needed to reach his weight goal which was 100 lb. loss. In July 2025 my husband had back surgery and was out for about 6 weeks plus the 6 weeks before his surgery and just returned to the gym a couple of weeks ago. When he came back we found out that Axel was let go the week before. I believe this is going to affect my husband a lot. The trainer was really helping my husband and now he is lost as to what to do. I do not understand how this could have happened to a GREAT employee. In all the years he has worked for Planet Fitness he has NEVER been written up and always showed up for his shifts. I have investigated the issue of Planet Fitness not having trainers anymore but I feel you could have kept him on as a regular employee with out the trainer status. He could have helped the members when there is a question. The others are just employees and they do not tell you how the machine helps you. I believe that Planet Fitness needs to relook at the trainer situation. The trainers are very valuable to all the members. The trainers make sure that we are using the equipment properly so that we do no get hurt, answers any questions we have as members and they explain what the machine does for us.
