The staff is very personable & pleasant. Machine are kept up nicely. The only tiny issue is that the showers sometimes have hair/dirt in them and I think it’s because the drain is in an odd place away from the water spray, more hooks to hang belongings. But otherwise they are good also.
This is one of my favorite gyms I've ever had, anywhere: the hours are a big plus; the friendly folks who work there; the clean, big, locker room, with private places to change for those of us who are re-starting a fitness journey and don't feel confident in our bodies. Plenty of machines most times of the day; none of the "meatheads" who made it uncomfortable to work out at Tough Bodies in years past.
The "spa" is especially nice, and I've been telling every other Planet Fitness I go to that they need to upgrade their rotten, outdated chairs to be like the glorious chairs in Barberton. (My home base is in NYC, usually, so I've been to two PFs there. Neither is as good as the one in Barberton; in fact, neither is the one in Wadsworth, which I've visited; nor is the one on S. Hawkins, which I've visited.)
Basically, every other PF (and every other gym that isn't a luxury brand with eucalyptus towels and that kind of stuff) should try to be like Barberton in every way it can!
