The staff always congregate at the counter and we usually have to interrupt their conversations if we have questions. Since there is no trainer available, it would be nice if they made an occasional walk through to offer suggestions and speak to patrons.

First and foremost the staff at the Bessemer, AL Planet Fitness location are absolutely wonderful, which was very comforting upon my first visit. The first few times I went in, I only made use of the tanning bed. As, I was checking in on morning, I told the girl who checked me in that I needed motivation and help to get started using the gym equipment. She assured me that she understood how I felt and it was left at that .... That day! The next time I was there to check in, the same girl greeted me with enthusiasm, and asked if I would like a tour of the facility after my tanning session. I agreed, and she walked me around the gym, showing me what each machine was for, the 30 minute workout, and the other amenities of the spa area. While giving me the tour, the staff member was constantly pumping me up about getting started with my fitness routine. On my next visit, I got started. I wish I could remember her name, but all the staff I have encountered have been equally as friendly and helpful. Both the facility and the equipment was clean. No wait for the tanning bed!!!! I just really have nothing but good things to say about this place!
