The location is prime for anyone into fitness they have the largest outdoor space for running biking etc (Prospect Park).
The actual gym is spacious, and clean, engaged staff
I had to cancel my membership because I’m going away for the next few months, but I honestly didn’t want to. I’ve been very satisfied with my experience at Planet Fitness, the staff, the equipment, and the overall environment have all been great. However, I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility when it comes to pausing a membership.
It seems unreasonable that loyal customers don’t have the option to temporarily freeze their membership unless they provide a doctor’s note for an injury. Life happens, travel, work, family and not being injured shouldn’t mean losing your membership altogether.
If I could make one recommendation, it would be to offer members the ability to pause their membership, even if it’s limited to a maximum of, say, three months. It would go a long way in retaining loyal customers like myself. Instead, I was forced to cancel entirely, which feels like a lose-lose situation.
In general great but also thank you to the gentleman who cancelled my membership! The staff at this location are consistently kind and h was no exception! To me and other members he checked in while I was in the process of cancellation
I like the ease of my training. And that everything is on the same floor, allowing me to move from cardio to core, to weights in any order I choose, without having to go from floor to floor. The ability to see outside as I exercise is also mentally helpful. Restrooms that are spacious and clean are a plus. Finally, as I walk out of the gym, I can get a chair massage, reducing any body aches or pain from the stress of my 90–120-minute workout. Yes, this is what exercising should be like. Encouraging!
