It is so clean in there and the colors are so bright and vivacious and pretty. This time, I find the machines that I use are always working well and correctly.
The Cathedral City, CA location on Date Palm Drive is very clean. I'm there 4 - 5 days a week, between 630am-7a. The staff are out on the floor filling the cleaning stations, vacuuming, cleaning windows, wiping down machines, etc. I've seen the yellow 'wet floor' signs placed at the entry to the locker rooms when I get there, so I assume the showers and bathrooms were just cleaned for the morning folks. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Rachel. Rachel is outgoing, she greets people by name, always happy to help with the amenities in the club room. The TVs are always on with the closed captioning. The temperature is usually just fine, but sometimes it gets a bit too warm, almost humid-like. Overall, I have found members to be nice, respectful and some even helpful. The machines are kept up and in working order. It is rare that a machine down for more than a day or two, at least that I've noticed. This year a few additional machines (I think 4) and another rack of free weights (dumbbells and barbells) were added.
I previously maintained two memberships: Planet Fitness (Cathedral City) and Steel Gym (Palm Springs). I let go of Steel Gym. Now I only go to Planet Fitness.
If corporate is reading this...we could really use the decline chest press and one more pro functional trainer with a dedicated bench. Thanks! =)
The layout of the various machines minimizes the
need to get the full benefit of your workout. You simply go from one machine to the next without having to walk around to find the right machine.
