It’s just comfortable. The staff is great, facilities always clean. Not too many people either. Really lets a tired first time mom have her me time and get connected with her body.
I like coming to Planet Fitness.....it's clean and most of the equipment is in good shape. One thing I did notice yesterday.....A teenager (looked like a boy around 14) was using the weighted equipment all wrong. Using way too much weight and struggling extremely hard to pull it up. This was on the arm raise bicep/shoulder machine. He did the same thing on the quads machine. I am not an expert weight lifter, but I have been working out many years on most of the equipment . So I do know that you need to work up to heavier weights. He could have hurt himself or torn a muscle with the weight he was using and the extreme effort it took to raise it. There were also a couple young teenage girls using a machine they had no business using, and were definitely not using it correctly.
My point is, that there should be a Planet Fitness Associate walking around and keeping an eye out to make sure people are using the equipment correctly...especially new people who may not know anything about Fitness equipment. The ones I witnessed could have hurt themselves seriously.
I wanted to correct in both of these instances, but did not feel it was my place to do so. However, Planet Fitness should supervise these young new people. Or even the older ones who don't know what they are doing. At least someone should walk around periodically to be sure people aren't endangering themselves.
