Not only am I likely but I actually have recommended to someone they should join planet fitness specifically at the Matthew’s location. The fan is located so that everyone benefits from it a little bit. The black card spa is well-maintained. The staff is helpful and there is always someone at the desk. It is still open 24 hours unlike many other locations. This is part of the reason I signed up with Planet Fitness. I’m not happy about the shortened hours that have continued four years post-Covid at other locations.

For context on my comments, I've been a member at this location 4+ years, come in 6x/wk on avg for 1.25 - 1.5 hrs/day in the early morning. I use the elliptical machines and weight machines (not free weights). When I joined the location was in trouble. A new manager (Morgan?) was brought in and turned things around. She's moved on and Patty, the current manager, is excellent. The morning staff is, too: Alyssa, Logan, Nick and Josh. Conscientious, reliable, professional, vigilant and diligent. Big red flag, though, on the process and turnaround time of fixing weight machines. Example: machine #118 hasn't worked correctly since at least March 2025. Slider bar for incremental weights is non-functional. I've reported it 3x. Each time, the staff indicates they're aware of the issue and have reported it - and I believe them. When I finally saw the repair man in the parking lot in July, he said machine #118 wasn't on his list to repair so it's still not working. Seriously, you need to fix out-of-order machines more quickly. Isn't your core business providing fitness equipment? Failure to take care of your core business is not a good sign.

The only issue I have is the internet log in procedure has changed whereas you have to scan your phone to a QR code and my phone doesnt work with that therefore I cannot log into the WIFi while I work out. It used to be extremely ez where my phone would just recognize the wife and log in on its own, too bad change is not always best for everyone. I have asked the people at the desk but they dont seem knowledgeable about passwords they just point to the QR code. Im assuming its all corporate decisions and they have no knowledge of how to help someone in that case.

Extremely well run operation....the gym is always clean, the equipment is well maintained and the Manager is on top of EVERYTHING, plus he is a very good natured young man and loves his job! The customer service representative at the desk was extremely helpful. They assisted me in downloading the app on my phone and guided me through the process when my password didn’t work. He was very polite and courteous. The facility itself is clean and spacious, providing a wonderful experience that will make this my go-to gym.
