The Eagle River gym is smaller than some other Planet Fitness locations, which makes it seem more personal. The gym is always spotlessly clean and all the equipment in working order. The staff are friendly and available. The only thing I would like to see "improved" is the addition of a second Nu Step machine. It's the best machine for targeted knee range-of-motion and resistance + cardio, recommended by physical therapists. The single Nu Step at the Eagle River location is often in use by another member and tied up for an hour or more.

I love the eagle river club! I live in South Anchorage with a club that is about 8 minutes away but I make the trip out to this club because it is SUCH a better experience. The club that’s closer to my house is very very crowded and I feel like I’m breathing in everyone else's breath as it’s so humid and musty. There are only windows by the entrance which makes it feel dark and gloomy. The eagle river club’s high roof makes it feel much more open with windows letting in natural light all around. It’s never usually as busy and is so clean. It’s such a great experience! I enjoy going here for my workouts
