Thank you for asking about my feedback on the PF in Fall River, Mass.
I think the women's/men's bathroom and locker areas need the most constant attention, and maybe a sign off check sheet posted in there.
I notice when I go in during the afternoon/evening, there is toilet paper on the floors, and most of waste baskets are full. Some of them look like they have tp with poop on it, and the rolls of toilet paper are almost out of paper - inside the wall toilet paper holders.
When I have let the afternoon/evening shift know the bathroom stalls need attention, they may go in and sweep the toilet paper off around the toilets, but they NEVER empty the full waste basket - especially with poop in it!
It seems like they leave the waste baskets for the night cleaning crew. I have never seen them get emptied in the afternoon or in the evening.
I suggest that your company get toilet seat covers, so people don't have to waste so much toilet paper making a toilet seat cover using strips of toilet paper - that eventually wind up on the floor - and that causes the rolls to use up faster.
The soap at the sinks runs out, but this is left for the cleaning crew to replace, instead of replacing it so the members have hand soap when it runs out.
Since it took 9 months to replace a paper towel dispenser that was stripped (located in the stretching cage room) that would not feed the paper down so you could tear off the piece,
I don't expect anything to be done about what I am writing about today. Nothing gets fixed or changed in the maintenance of machines or cleaning of these areas.
I also talked to the that great desk person, Nick, about a broken cable on the leg press machine. He disabled the cable, so no one would use it. It did get fixed right away, but I told him - that most of the cables on the machines were dry, dusty and look like the insulation if going to split and come off the guide wires - causing the machines to make rubbing and squeeking noises when you use them.
It would be good to have the servicing technician for the machines - check, lube and possibly replace the cables to keep them operating safely for the members. The plastic insulation on the cable on the leg press machine was so dry and old, that it split and caused the metal cable to come off the track of the rotating guide wheel. Nick took pictures of it. It looks like the technician replace the cable with new insulation. This was in the 30 minute room.
The chest press in the 30 minute workout area, is also squeeking at the guide wheel on the lower right side. The cable binds sometimes because it is old, dirty and dry.
The machine opposite it (the hand weight pull machine) does not have a seat adjuster piece so it can be raised and lowered. Nick said they were out of these loop adjusted pieces, so there is just a hex nut that won't make the seat adjust up.
The back press machine ( in front of the elipical machines) also makes a rubbing noise whenever you lean back on it. Again - I think the rubber insulation around the cables is old, dry and dusty - making the unit squeek. These machines need a yearly clean, lube and possible replace, if needed, on all their cables.
The women's bathroom stalls and the squeeking on the machines are the 2 most important items that never seem to get fixed.
Thank you for asking my opinion.

I have been a member of FR PF since 2019 when moving to FR. I have visited several locations in the Mass and RI areas. The selling point for PF for me because of severe gym phobia and self consciousness was the 30 minute circuit room because there are no mirrors and not many muscle people or young people visit that room; however, I hear that Corporate has decided remove the machines in this room. I think it would have been a good idea to ask the customers first before making this decision. It's a very big disappointment.
