I love the program but recently heard from my sister, who just joined, and is not athletically inclined that the classes she signed up for were too short and the trainer was in a hurry. I had the opposite experience with him, but I was familiar with the facility and equipment. she signed up recently for a year and I want her to stay; she told him she needed explanations bc she wasn't familiar with the equipment, and did not want to get hurt. She also didn't get the sit down with him or a summary of the equipment or programs she discussed with him. There should really be a standardized checklist/form the trainer completes with the member and passes in to PF,In several cases with me, he didn't remember the name of some of the machines. An easy fix but a good way to retain an inexperienced member. Pls send my sister a survey, but suggest not informing the Hanover trainer, as a criticism, rather a teaching moment. The member's name is Susan Noyes. TY
Providing consistent hot water for showers. Even considering the additional equipment, this has been the best improvement. The extra equipment does provide more variety. Socializing with members provides a friendly atmosphere.
I have been a member for more than two years and look forward to many more.
It’s not really a question of what I like, as I find the gym highly acceptable in all areas. What I don’t like is the lack of action regarding people that use their phones while just sitting on the equipment, specifically the weight machines. I have complained numerous times about this and have been told nothing can be done about it, which I don’t buy. Just last Thursday, a guy was sitting on the sit-up board staring intently at his phone for over 10 minutes, then just got up and walked away. This is just one of many examples I could give you. Please take some action and do something.
I absolutely love the weight equipment overhaul, and having the PF Black Card makes it so easy for my high school son to use the gym as a guest from time to time.
