My Planet Fitness gym in Lake Mary, Fl. recently underwent a two month renovation. I was aware because posters were put up at the gym. However upon re-opening there was no effort to notify me. So I continued to go out of my way for an additional three weeks before I realized my local gym had re-opened.

It's been way too long since I visited, but I'm so glad that in my absence, the Lake Mary location added the large bar cage for stretching. That's what I missed most when I transferred from a previous location to here. I don't love the new (to me) layout of all the machines, but I'll take it for the sake of the bar cage.

The remodeling looks great, however 3 bikes are already out of service. I expected everything to be operational since the gym was remodeled. I noticed most of the equipment is still the same, with some of the machines looking worn out.

The updates are very nice. If any constructive criticism is allowed. Some of the machine layout does not make sense. Machines geared towards certain body parts should be grouped next to each other. For example, there is a leg press machine by the front door, and all the other leg machines are on the back wall. The weight racks should be near the free weight machines. There are no rack by the arm curl, trap shrug machine, etc. The back extension machine is in the front room and other lower back machines in the back. Thank you.
