I workout here every day and have had nothing but a positive experience. All staff members are incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Julie who is always there to greet me and help with any questions I may have. She is a great representation of how welcoming and knowledgeable the Planet Fitness staff is. The locker room, equipment and overall the gym itself is always kept clean. Management is doing a great job making the gym an enjoyable environment to workout in. 10/10 recommend.

I have been to between one and two dozen Planet Fitness locations in the United States and this (the Latham New York location) is the best one I have been to. The staff is cheerful, friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The location is right in the center of the Capital District and the parking is excellent. Seasonally, I use another Planet Fitness in Vero Beach Florida. It falls far short of Latham, especially in terms of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the maintenance/cleaning of the bathrooms and locker room. The only thing I like better about some of the other Planet Fitness locations (including the Vero Beach Florida location) is that they are open later on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The only suggestion I have for the Latham Planet Fitness would be to change the hours on Saturday and Sunday from a close time of 7 PM to a close time of 9 PM. Otherwise, the Latham Planet Fitness is the best one I have been to in the country.

It’s a very clean facility, but I just spent the winter in Florida where each of the 3 planet Fitness clubs I visited had “Hybrid Tanning” . I was surprised to return home and find my home club did NOT have hybrid tanning (red light/uv) as I’d assume my NY home club would have the most cutting edge tech in tanning. Chris Brake
