I came to mankato for a business meeting and decided at a last second to stop in there for a workout. The gym was great. Enjoyed all my usual ameneties. But The employee at the front desk was exceptional. She took the extra time to help me out. Not knowing my way around she didnt just explain and point. She took the time to walk me and show me personally. A personal touch that goes a long way in a world of people who don't take that effort anymore.
My headphones had died and she searched for the right cord and was able to find the right cord and help me charge my headphones so I could use them a little.i believe many people would have given up looking but she followed through with it. I believe her name was McKenna. And because of her it was above average experience.
Staffing is back to normal, seems like you have gotten rid of those that were just standing/not helping. Seems like more members, which I enjoy more, makes it more intense. Overall great!!
Machines are clean and well-maintained. The lighting is perfect. The two big ceiling fans are nice. Temperature is excellent. Vibe is good. Music not too loud. All the staff are great, and a special mention has to be made on behalf of McKenna, who is extremely helpful and patient with my questions, and always has a pleasant greeting for me.
Overall Planet Fitness is a wonderful facility with a subscription price that helps me make it a part of my day to day. The only thing I would say could be improved, is that sometimes equipment that is out of commission takes too long to be fixed. In the Mankato location I visit, there is a pulldown machine that has had a broken seat for over a month. Seemingly not too drastic, but still not fixed. It's the only machine of its kind in the facility and I miss having it in my routine.
