I like going to work out and seeing Planet Fitness employees, especially Balen, receive me with a warm welcome and a smile on his face. Balen is friendly and professional. He is attentive and helpful. He greets me almost every time I walk into the gym.

If gyms were dating apps, Planet Fitness on Nolensville Road would be the one you actually call back. From the moment I walk in—usually pretending I didn’t just eat a donut in the parking lot—I’m greeted by friendly staff who manage to smile even at 5 a.m. (possibly caffeinated robots, but I’m not here to judge). They scan me in with a level of enthusiasm I haven’t seen since my kid learned what ice cream is. The Equipment: Everything is purple, which oddly motivates me. Rows and rows of cardio machines mean I never have to pretend I was “just about to use that one” when someone beats me to it. I can climb stairs to nowhere or bike like I’m being chased—without ever leaving the air-conditioned safety of Nolensville Pike. The Atmosphere: It’s clean, spacious, and so welcoming that I’m convinced if I fell off the treadmill (again), someone would not only help me up but also cheer me on for trying. The “Judgement Free Zone” vibe is real—nobody cares if I’m lifting dumbbells or just having an existential crisis near the foam rollers. Perks: Let’s talk HydroMassage. It’s basically a mini-vacation where you lie down fully clothed and pretend you don’t have responsibilities for five minutes. I’m 85% sure they’ve healed my soul. Final Thoughts: Planet Fitness on Nolensville isn’t just a gym—it’s therapy, entertainment, and low-stakes cardio rolled into one gloriously purple building. 10/10, would fake a “leg day” again just to get to the hydro.

Neat, clean and frequented by people dedicated to fitness - a nice cross section of people from different walks of life, too. The staff keeps the machines in good working order. It can get busy at times, but you also learn the peak periods to avoid. Open 24 hours, too.

Cleanliness, I spent the winter in Sarasota Florida where I saw many customers use equipment without wiping it down after use. I have not seen that happen at this gym. I also have seen employees walking the gym, to observe what is going on and that really helps. Thank you for keeping our gym clean.
