Staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to assist customers. Equipment and facilities are always clean a neat. Locker rooms and restrooms are clean and do not smell like sweaty men! I go to the Goose Creek St. James location to work out. Brandon, Dwayne and the rest of the staff are awesome. Highly recommended! 10/10 for staff, 10/10 for tanning and rehab equipment. 9/10 for the facility overall. My only complaint, which is just personal preference is that I don’t like Smith machines as a general rule, I prefer free barbells and weight benches.

I have been going to this Planet Fitness since 2011 and I do like the price and the machines. But I will say the staff has gone downhill. Nowadays when I enter, the staff at the front desk are sitting down and looking at their phones and either talking to each other or just on their phones and they do not stand up to greet clients.
Some of the lights in the ladies room were out so it was very dark in the sink area.
There used to be a dress code - but there were some young women in there (I can't call them ladies) dressed like hookers, one of them in basically a teeny leather bra and flip flops using a machine. I thought you had to wear sneakers and dress appropriately.
The music was obnoxious. It used to be more pop-tunes and it was more like rap.
Over the past couple years the machines have been moved to different places and they don't make sense, they are not grouped together like they used to be so now you have to walk around trying to find things.
Most disappointing is the lack of customer service at the desk. Please train your staff to greet clients by standing up and doing their job.

I would like to recognize your location in Northwoods Mall in North Charleston SC. The staff are friendly, professional, and hardworking. It doesn't matter what day or what time someone is almost always cleaning or helping a member. I know i can always count on Brittany to help me with a smile. Christian is friendly and eager to help. Anthony goes above and beyond. Rose also greets me with a smile and a hello, she is great at delegating but also gets in there and cleans just like everybody else. This is a great place to work out. Cleanliness is top notch and the staff deserves to be appreciated.
