I wrote a previous survey covering the issue of having the "kids are free for the summer" program. This jams up the machines and it is hard to get a smooth working out in and to complete a workout in a reasonable time while waiting on machines to be available. I submitted this survey and received a call from the gym manager in response to my issue. This is something new for me.... This is the first time anyone I have submitted a survey to has contacted me via phone afterwards. This manager understands the problem and cares about his loyal members. He has a few things he is going to do to help alleviate some of the issues involved in having all those kids in the gym. I respect that, he offered to allow me to suspend my membership for the summer at no cost. This is reasonable but I declined and told him that I would continue with my weekly workouts for now and give it some time to see if it gets better. I really appreciate the manager calling and will work with him if I have any issues. I understand why Planet Fitness is doing this but it can have an adverse impact on core membership (read on Reddit). Have a dialogue with the local schools to open their gyms for the summer and let the kids workout there. The only cost is someone to supervise the gym while it is open.
Like this manager, Planet Fitness leadership needs to understand the importance of their "CORE" membership, the good price point of PF is worthless if you can't get on the machines. Cheers
I really enjoy working out at the Pearland East location. The staff is friendly, the restrooms and other areas are clean, and there are plenty of machines to get in a solid workout. Peak times can be a little crowded, but there is always something to use to hit your fitness goals.
First time becoming a member. Loved how spacious and clean the areas are. Love the purple room colors, not so much the yellow room. Very nice atmosphere when entering the facility.
