Planet Fitness gives me a "third space" to focus on myself and my well-being. Using the equipment and creating my own workout routine, tweaking it as I progress and moving at my own pace has all been a serious game changer for me.
I've been a member for almost 10 years; it has improved my physical and mental health, given me goals to work towards, given me a sense of accomplishment, and helped me structure a routine not only for going to the gym with regularity but also provided something of an anchor point to fix the rest of my schedule around and giving me a sense of stability and routine.
Combined with an improved diet and some other personal work I have lost inches, gained some muscle, and vastly improved my sense of self and self-confidence.
