I love that the Rock Hill Planet Fitness has the Arc Trainers. I had knee surgery a couple of years ago and that is the only elliptical type cardio machine that has less weight bearing on it so my knee doesn't hurt when using it. Even when using it I have to hold the railing but at least I can push it up and down without it going into pause mode, the other machines I can't do that. I am very disappointed that these machines will be removed with the remodel/renovation coming up. I can't go to my closest Planet Fitness (Fort Mill) anymore because they removed the Arc Trainers with the renovation. The new machines at Fort Mill and what will be at the Rock Hill location after the renovation are all circular motion (vs up & down that are easier on hip issues), are too hard of a resistance so after a very short period of time (within 10 minutes) my knees and hips start hurting, and they do no accommodate for people with recent or past surgeries or medical conditions. The new ellipticals that will be at Rock Hill that are now at Fort Mill location - the stride brings your knees higher and on the down revolution your leg snaps straight - it's not a smooth revolution for your legs. In addition, the new machines are built for taller people where you have to reach further for the handlebars and everything else, they are not built for the average size woman. I love the arc trainer and all the machines currently at Rock Hill Planet fitness, please reconsider the renovation. I also like that the Rock Hill Planet has the hand sanitizers all around the gym so people can stay healthy.

Easy, convenient, relaxed. All the machines, equipment and weights I needed. I may be back after healing from my surgery. My complaints are usually with other members who don't clean up after themselves properly, considering we just came out of a pandemic.

I liked the gym and it was clean. The bathrooms were never out of order when I went and they were always usable and clean. The dealer in the back worked and the employees were always peppy even early morning or near close. The only reason I canceled is because I moved to Richburg. 10/10 gym.
