Best Planet Fitness in the Area - Clean, Well-Managed, and Friendly!
After dealing with the constant decline of the Rockwall location, I decided to check out Planet Fitness in Rowlett, and I'm so glad I did! This gym is everything a PF should be--clean, well-maintained, and run by a staff that actually cares about its members and never on their phones.
First off, the equipment selection is far superior. Everything is well-spaced but still maximizes the floor space, unlike Rockwall, where they removed machines and left awkward gaps. The 30-minute express workout area is still intact, making it perfect for a quick, structured workout.
The staff here is amazing--they're friendly, professional, and actually engaged with members. Instead of glued to their phones or eating ice cream, they're keeping the facility running smoothly. Every time I visit, I see staff cleaning, restocking supplies, and making sure equipment is in working order. They greet members with a smile and actually make you feel welcome.
Cleanliness is another huge plus. Rowlett's staff is on top of it. The locker rooms, bathrooms, and workout areas are spotless, and there's no funky smell when you walk in. You can tell they take pride in maintaining the facility.
The Black Card perks are actually worth it here! The tanning beds are maintained, with bulbs being replaced regularly, and I've never had to deal with the frustration of broken-down equipment or ignored maintenance requests.
Overall, Planet Fitness Rowlett is everything a gym should be--clean, welcoming, and run by a team that takes pride in their work. If you're debating between Rowlett and Rockwall, don't even think twice--Rowlett is the clear winner!
If you want a great gym experience without the frustrations, this is the place to be!
