The space is very large with ample amount of equipment. Gym goers are always respectful and wipe down their equipment. And the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

I rejoined Planet Fitness as I moved and it's closer to my work anyway. I like the Salem location, as it's clean, always well stocked with paper towels/cleaning solution to clean the machines, has plenty of mat, balls, foam roller and equipment. The bathroom is always clean and the broken soap dispenser was repaired immediately. I think the members are more friendly compared to other Planet Fitness centers I belonged to. I also like that Market Basket and Target are nearby and there is ample Parking. The staff is always friendly when I check in and I noticed they're often seen cleaning /monitoring the equipment. I had joined Crunch Fitness in Danvers when I lived over there but was not thrilled with the equipment. I find the Planet Fitness equipment easier to use and adjust (never sticks). Being a physical therapist, I am familiar with how the machines should work. Crunch also tended to be noisy and teenagers sat on the machines and texted for minutes on end without courtesy to those waiting. I've never seen this type of behavior at Planet Fitness Centers.
