I usually visit a different location but this one is closer to my new job, I recently went for the first time and the staff at the front counter was extremely friendly and welcoming. I didn’t know how to check in at a new location & had never tanned at PF before they helped me do both I was really grateful. My AirPods died 5minutes into my workout so I left pretty early but will definitely come back to this location.
The gym itself is great! However, the staff utilization is poor. Details: usually there is one or sometimes two (young) staff members at the front desk. 90% of the time, their faces are looking down at their phones instead of up and looking at members, greeting them, and smiling. A "how are you today?" or "Good morning!", has NEVER been said to me. This front desk job is inherently boring but does not have to be, in my opinion. They could actually be walking around, checking on members while they are exercising, simply asking "Doing ok?" If a member needs help with a piece of equipment, they have to walk up to the desk, interrupt the staff member who is busy looking at his/her phone, and ask. On a recent weekend, it was even worse. . . two staff members were actually playing "throw pens into the pen/pencil holder" from a distance. Really? Why not walk around and clean equipment, check the bathrooms/lockers, etc. The manager Emelie (sp?) is very nice and accommodating. However, she seems to ignore the unprofessional behaviors of her staff.
