The Shakopee location is always clean and the staff are super friendly. I love the black card amenities available. I truly enjoy this facility and what is offered. One thing I will add is that the tanning beds could use a more thorough cleaning. I worked at a tanning salon for many years. Things to improve would be making sure the top acrylic is wiped down after each person tans and clean anywhere in/on the bed that would be touched my someone. It’s a shame that most of the time when I come in to workout and go tanning, the high intensity tanning bed is out of order. Other than that I do give a 10/10 and would highly recommend planet fitness to my friends and family.

Convenient location and access from home and parking lot. Open at all hours Plenty of good machines Promote cleanliness and sanitary environment. A sitting area with a few tables and chairs near the front entrance. I like to sit for 15 minutes after a workout. Locker room is clean and handy to use.

I really like the friendliness of the staff! I've been coming to this location for two years now and I haven't felt this welcomed by previous employees at the front desk like I do now. More often than not, the front desk is always staffed with at least one person who will greet me. I don't expect a convo but I can always appreciate a warm welcome. Moreover, the staff here is always stocking when needed. With previous staff, I would find that the paper towels would either be empty around multiple stations or the cleaning solution would be empty. If it's busy, I would totally understand but half the time, staff would be up front, talking to one another, or on their phones instead of doing the bare minimum of keeping things stocked. This has definitely changed within the last year so it's safe to say this has become my favorite location among many of the PFs I frequent!
