We love primrose and love the teachers and I recommend it to everyone.
I do have some suggestions though that i think would further improve our experience. The school feels somewhat transactional as most daycares do but a simple thing like a class directory (with voluntary, optional participation of course) would be really helpful - kids, parents names and phone numbers to contact would be very helpful.
Also polling children prior to Pre-K to determine what Kindergarten they're going to and trying to put those kids going to the same class together would be helpful. Having a familiar face when going to K after a small daycare can make all the difference.
These simple things would help make it even more of a community.
The teachers are engaged in teaching and not just baby-sitting the children. There is a structured curriculum. My kids are happy and enjoy going to Primrose each day.
They are very attentive to the children's needs - balancing structure, with fun and flexibility, and curriculum with personal interests and learning styles. My kids LOVE going to school at Primrose and the teachers clearly have a love for teaching.
We love primrose and all the staff. They do a wonderful job making out little one feel welcome and cared for, the front desk does a break job being transparent on learning schedules and any changes.
The curriculum is great. Our son in particular really blossomed at Primrose. It was the best thing we've done for him. He became more social, friendlier and just happier overall. Teachers have been consistent and able to develop a relationship with the kids. Our kids have absolutely loved not just their teachers but the support staff, etc. Not much turnover helps a lot there and it's clear the staff enjoys working there. Admin staff is friendly and helpful. Even with minor bonks and bruises the staff is very professional and takes incidents seriously. Convenience of pickup and dropoff, etc. A lot to love about our experience.
The teachers and front staff/upper management are genuinely invested in these kids and their future. They celebrate their wins and work diligently when there are set backs to help them get back on track. I am so thankful for their support in not only educating my children and setting them up for success in elementary school, but also in their commitment to molding strong, independent, kind little humans.
Communication is so easy and the staff is so friendly! Even teachers that aren't necessarily my children's designated teachers know my children! Also the school is always clean and organized and calm (aside from my wild daughter running through the halls) :D We are proud Primrose at Papermill parents and would highly recommend this school and specific location to anyone looking to provide their child with an excellent educational / growth experience.
We love every teacher and School Leadership Team member! The school is beautiful and the curriculum is well-implemented, but the people are what make Primrose School of East Cobb at Paper Mill so special. ❤️
