Primrose has taken great care of our sons. The staff is great with children and they learn a lot at a young age. We are very happy with the care of our boys.
Everyone is very friendly and professional. We love how clean and organized the school is. We appreciate that our infant is still getting curriculum daily! His teachers really make us feel comfortable and confident leaving him to work!
We love it here! Everyone is so kind and loving to our daughter. They really take the time to get to know her and our family. They have so much experience and truly enjoy what they do. Thank you!
Overall, we are very pleased with Primrose on Yankee and feel that our children are cared for in a positive environment. However, we did have some concerns this past year. We noticed a significant increase in incident reports involving our children. When I raised this concern to the staff, I was told that the incident reports would be reviewed to identify any trends, but I never received any follow-up. This left me feeling somewhat dismissed, and I hope that communication around these types of concerns can improve moving forward.
I do want to acknowledge that Heidi Bell did an excellent job during the ownership transition and while Payton was out. Her presence and leadership were reassuring.
We also had concerns regarding how some staff members handled stress. It appears that one individual who seemed to struggle may have since left, but there were occasions when I observed Carrie appearing overwhelmed and occasionally short with the children, including pulling some by the arm during morning drop-off. I share this not to criticize, but in the interest of ensuring all staff receive the support and training they need to maintain a calm and positive environment.
On a very positive note, I want to highlight several team members who have consistently provided exceptional care: Ms. Amanda, Ms. Casey, Ms. Emily, Ms. Brooke, Ms. Haley, Ms. Heidi, Ms. Virginia, Ms. Camila, Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Eliza, Ms. Sophie, Ms. Lily, Ms. Baharak, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Marilee, and Ms. Jazmine. They have all been amazing with our children—kind, caring, and patient. We are truly grateful for their dedication.
I do have one additional question regarding the weather closure policy. Is this posted somewhere or available to parents? The closure on 12/2/25 was surprising, as road conditions seemed clear by the time a delayed opening would have occurred. I absolutely understand that staff safety is a priority, but this particular closure did not seem necessary based on conditions at the projected two-hour delay. Additionally, the notification was sent after the originally stated 7:30 AM timeframe, which made adjusting work schedules difficult. I’m not questioning the decision, but would appreciate clarity on the criteria used for closures and whether there is a written policy that families can refer to.
Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. We share these concerns in the spirit of partnership and because we truly value the care our children receive at Primrose.
Excellent all around. The staff, the environment, the resources.. all very refined and professional. My wife and I feel lucky that we got a spot for our child at Primrose on Yankee.
I think primrose does a pretty exceptional job in providing a safe/clean/updated/homey environment for our children, I'm very thankful for it. I think the curriculum is great and exposes children to a variety of activities/arts/foods/etc.
My constructive feedback largely rests on two points I've noticed: 1.) over the years, I've always thought it would be helpful for a teacher to be 'dedicated' to a cohort of kids (i.e. and followed them- changed classrooms with them- as they moved along). Someone who got to know the kids really well/stronger attachments/relationships, and might help transitions/changes go more smoothly. While the second teacher is more dedicated to the "room" and only focuses on that curriculum (for example, one teacher would stay with kids as they go from toddlers to pre-k, to explorers; where the second teacher only focuses on that specific toddler room/curriculum, the pre-k curriculum, etc.). 2.) Is more current and related to the summer- I think there's room for some flexibility with the splash days. For instance, this summer they have 1 splash day/mo scheduled (in pre-k) when I believe it used to be weekly. And, as luck would have it, splash days have periodically fallen on chilly mornings (even when we've had some particularly hot stretches). I think getting back to this 1x/week, with some flexibility (i.e. move it from a chilly morning to a hot one, or move it to the PM) would be great (albeit, I know there are more logistics involved than what I'm aware of). The procare app is very helpful to monitor child’s progress throughout day. I love all of the teachers at Primrose and if I ever have a concern, the teachers are all ears and listen and adjust my child’s needs.
They are extremely welcoming when entering and exiting building and every single teacher walking the hallways seem to know my child’s name. It is a very family friendly culture.
We love that they are willing to help with potty training and listen to what we have done on the weekends and any upcoming plans we have.
My child hugs all his teachers and laughs and enjoys going to school in the mornings.
Primerose is a great school, my child is excelling for his age, he is well rounded, happy, healthy, and safe. The teachers are kind and caring. I appreciate everything that the entire staff does to care for him!
