My move was international. The service in Canada was excellent & everything was packed really well. The boxes could have been labelled a bit more descriptive of the insides, but not a huge problem. The affiliated company in the UK (Pickfords) were very disappointing. They only sent a crew of two men who were condescending & not particularly helpful to a single women moving a huge distance. There were over 120 boxes/items plus furniture. I accidentally ticked no unwrapping on the delivery form, which to Pickfords included all the furniture wrapped in bubble wrap & three glass table tops that were secured in heavy wooden crates. Disposing of the bubble wrap was a huge job & I had to get help with the wooden crates. I sent my comments to QMM & Pickfords did try to rectify the problem, although most of the bubble wrap had been removed. They also offered to collect the debris. I waited several days for the crew to collect the debris, but they did not arrive on time, so I had to haul everything outside my property myself (including wardrobe boxes from my upstairs) so they could collect it while I was out. When they did collect it, theyvonly collected half of the debris and have to come back. My experience with Pickfords was not a good one by any means. It appeared that they were trying to delivery a large shipment with a small crew. Plus I didn’t see any of their paperwork & was thankful I brought my packing slips with my from Canada in my luggage. Lastly, they quickly asked me to sign to say no damage and afterwards I noticed they had dented my front door frame slightly.
I really appreciated the promptness of QMM's service. They made a really great first impression by getting in touch with me quickly, explaining everything in the detail I needed, and arriving right on time. They gave me great customer service through the whole international move experience. Highly recommended!
