I like the variety of programs and the amount of options available. I also like the amount of spaces, machines, etc.
What I would like to see is more activities for kids. Yoga, gymnastics, etc. other than swimming lessons and martial arts there doesn’t seem to be much for my 9 and 13 year olds to signup to.
I enjoy the exercise classes. I wish they offered more time slots and classes. I would also like to add that there are not enough free activities for children.
The Quincy Y is a warm & welcoming place for people of all ages, color and income-levels. It is my favorite go-to place for swims, indoor-walks & to just chat with friends & ex-coworkers. The Directors and employees are kind, hard-working and always ready to greet and help in any way they can. The vibe of the place is so positive and I can say it is my happy place, Thank you Hale YMCA for being there for the Community and for all the opportunities & activities you provide to families & individuals. Kudos to you all and keep up the good work!
I go to the Hale YMCA in Quincy.
There is a wide variety of activities and programs for everyone. I prefer the water aerobics classes and I have used the e-gym and I have attended a few yoga classes.
There could be better support for the aquatic instructors. During hot weather last week the air temperature in the pool area was very hot and humid. One day Kate had a fan to help alleviate the heat. The next day the fan had been removed. It seemed as if there was no communication as to why the fan was removed. Better communication helps make for a better work place.
While I haven’t really participated in any of your organized activities, I will say I really like lap swimming and the variety of weight lifting equipment you have available.
I appreciate all of the classes and the equipement is all great! I used to do quite a lot of the kids programs when my kids were young so I am sure parents appreciate them too!
