I really like Retro, especially this location. The people are nice, the place is well run and there is enough equipment to keep me busy. However, despite there being signs around about not using phones on the floor, some people are talking on them continuously and loud - so distracting! Making matters worse is that members sit on the machines, staring at their phones, and not working out. And I do not feel comfortable about trying to work in when they are doing that. I know it is wishful thinking but it would be great if the gym actually tried to enforce a no-phone policy. Since most people don't use their phones like that, we would all appreciate it. One other thing, the classes that are scheduled for after 6:00 means that we really have no place to stretch and do floor work. It would be nice if there was a dedicated space for us as well. Thanks for letting me rant, I still really like the place!

Just wanted to share a recent experience with Dave at Retro fitness of fort lee.. I was very frustrated with the inconsistency of the morning classes and expressed that I wanted to switch membership plans and possibly cancel my membership all together because of concerns I would be charged a fee.... Dave got in contact with me to see how he could help me to feel more at ease about staying with retro fitness....he apologized for the inconsistencies and better yet followed up with action....he assured me that they were working on a better class schedule for the morning and waived my fee to downgrade. Thank you Dave, for understanding this gym girly's frustration and taking steps to make it better... Looking forward to my next trip to Retro All the best, [FIRST NAME REMOVED]
