The staff has always been friendly and cooperative. They keep the place clean and well maintained. I have no problem recommending Retro to anyone.
My only problem is the Corporate group's software. It breaks down a little too often. For the present, It's not awarding points for workouts, participating in Challenges, completing Challenges, Creating a personal challenge or completing it. They been working on this problem for over two months without resolution. The Gym staff knows about the problem and has awarded points the are missed. But it is a problem.
Last Friday I attended a zumba class at Retro Fittness in Kenville, NJ. Caroline was the substitute instructor. She was the definition of positive energy. The class was so much fun. I can’t wait for the next class. 💕
I enjoy the variety of classes, friendly staff, and people who have become my gym mates. The instructors are great and are positive to keep the motivation going. If you feel that some exercises are challenging, the option is to modify. There is no competition other than yourself and the importance of being there is to keep in motion. I feel I am doing something good for my body to maintain my health and mobility.
The environment is clean. Staff and members are friendly and helpful. It is a very comfortable atmosphere whether you are fit, average, overweight or disabled.
I love the gym and especially the classes. You have great instructors that keep us motivated, engaged and we keep coming back. It’s a terrific group. I’ve taken classes with Vincent, Gigi, June and Mary Helen and they are all excellent. They each have their own style and it works. What I don’t like is the overcrowded Zumba class on Friday am. On 6/20 there were at least 30 people there which did not make for an enjoyable time. It didn’t allow for enough space to exercise. You have to be so mindful to not run into the person next to you or the bikes. There needs to be better control.
Also, regarding the equipment, there are several machines that are wearing away - the ab coaster, core trainer and houla hoop to name a few. I’m glad you got a new trampoline but sorry to see it moved to the classroom when I come early on Thursday am. I thought items were not supposed to be moved.
