Retro is close to my home; I can walk there. 99% of the time parking is not an issue when I go there. Most of my problems with the facility are due to the members not observing gym etiquette (at least as I was taught) by not taking weights off machines and putting the plates on the racks. Too many times the carabiners on machines having pulleys are missing. It seems to me members are taking them. Why? No excuse for plates left on the gym floor. Tying up a machine by sitting there and looking at a phone. Just a bunch of little things that make the Retro North Arlington experience less than 100%.
Thanks for installing the new showering heads in the Men's Locker Room.North Arlington may be the best of the remaining Retros from olden times. It looks as clean as it did in Jan.2013 when it first opened.Proper spacing is done for all areas. It's not a mess as are many other Retros.
The gym is very clean. Staff would walk around making sure the gym is clean, weights are put back on the rack. Some people don’t rerack their weights so it’s nice that the staff picks up their slack. The only thing I don’t like is how the sun shines bright in the morning through the blinds by the treadmill and hurts your eyes if you work out on them, maybe some thicker blinds would help. Also, some more plates like 5s and 10s by the bench would be nice.
