Consistently the best gym. I love this location. Great and helpful staff. Very well managed. Well maintained equipments and clean facility. Their diversified equipments suit me perfectly. Especially heavyweight treadmills with high bars to hold to while running. Their cycles have adjustable feet straps to accommodate very large feets.

This location is pretty good. Designated areas to deadlift are awesome and the overall layout is fantastic. I never have to search for plates and the weights are usually racked where they're supposed to be. I do not like that the power racks have nothing but bumper plates. It's probably fine for most people, but it's difficult to use the trap bar for anything over 400lbs because the bumpers take up so much room on the collar. There are regular plates available but they're across the gym and it's not ideal to be moving plates from one area to another. I'd like to see more regular plates on the power racks with a few bumpers for deadlifting.

I highly recommend Retro Fitness in West Long Branch. Alyssa is a great owner who cares that the equipment is working and the gym is cl I have seen her actually working on Treadmills, etc... getting the electronics working. Also, the employees she hires are all very nice and actually say hello and goodbye to members. The shakes are also delicious (and nutritious). My main complaint is that they need more and new workout mats ( yoga mats) in the workout area. The ones they have are old and there are not enough of them. Otherwise, set-up is good and I really like the equipment and atmosphere.
