Rutabaga has everything you need in the paddlesport realm. My last purchase was a Wenonah canoe - made at the 2026 Canoecopia. My choice was not available at the show so I ordered the boat and it was delivered to Rutabaga about 6 weeks later. The staff alerted me and I made an appointment to pick the boat up in Madison. The boat was ready when I arrived. Staff checked to see that I was happy with the boat, finished some paperwork, and helped up load the boat on our van. The process was painless - thanks Rutabaga!

You have a great selection of items that support a variety of water sports and associated activities. Most importantly--you have a great staff of friendly and knowledgeable folks who are extremely helpful. They are the true reason that I come into the store.

Going to Rutabaga feels a little full circle for me. My dad used to take me there when it was still on Park Street, back when I was just a kid learning to love the water. All these years later, it still has that same welcoming, knowledgeable feel - with an even better selection and a beautiful new space! The staff truly care and take the time to help you find what’s right for you. It’s amazing to see how they’ve grown while still keeping that same friendly, knowledgeable service. The new store is beautiful and the selection is top-notch. It’s more than just a store, it’s part of what keeps people connected to the water, nature, and outdoor adventure. Big fan!
