Everything. Everything. Everything.
The staff. The unstructured. The review of my grandchild afterwards. The friendliness of staff. The cleanliness. The attentiveness to my grandchild.
Everything.
I was able to face of fear of the water and start to learn how to swim. I have WAYS to go. I still need to learn how to float among other things. I still have a degree of fear that I have to face. I am progressing slowly and much to my dismay my progress is on pause right now because I had a stroke last week.
This was my first time swimming as an adult, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was part of a group of 8-9, and our coach, Tyler, did an excellent job leading the session. Even though we were all at different swimming levels, Tyler was patient and made sure to give each of us a version of the practice that matched our abilities. What stood out most was how encouraging he was—affirming our efforts while also giving constructive critiques so that we could improve with each swim. It was a supportive and motivating environment, and I left feeling both more confident and excited to continue learning. I came home and encouraged my friends and family members to join with me.
SAF-T-SWIM of New Hyde Park is a fantastic location!
My 5-year-old twins have been taking swim classes here for about a year, and we couldn’t be happier. They absolutely love their instructor, Julian. His patience, warmth, and genuine care have made all the difference.
My son, who usually gets very nervous around new environments, especially water, has completely transformed thanks to Julian’s steady support. Now, both of my kids look forward to Saturdays with excitement! We’re so grateful to have found this place and such an amazing instructor.
