I LOVE BCYCLE. I like the bikeshare program - this way I don't have to haul a bike around with my (little) car and maintain a bike on my own. With BCycle, if I have a bike issue, I can just dock it at the next station and check out a new bike. I really appreciate this, and I feel it enables a lot of people to ride and be more active who otherwise wouldn't due to finances, bike maintenance, bike rack for car, etc.
Easy app and economical! Like the rental
Choices and bikes are very comfortable. We did a 25 mile ride to visit The San Antonio Missions! The best park there are so many B cycle docks along the way!
I think it’s a very good product… The only thing is there ought to be a way. It could be configured where if you come up to a full bike rack or docking station, You could take another one out without having to buy a pass… So you could remove one of the bikes and Return, the bike you’re using into the dock… Say a two or three minute grace period The system would show that you’re only now using one bike.… You would show a refund shortly on your new day pass. This would allow someone to return a bike in a full parking spot then a person could take the new bike that he pulls out and take it to an another. … Say a two or three minute grace period… You would show a refund on your new day pass. This would allow someone to return a bike in a full parking spot then a person could take the new bike that he pulls out and take it to an Another Bike docking station. I hope that makes sense.
Everything great! Except that the signs on the trail and on the road by Mission Park Pavillion said that there was a docking station, which there was not. My last leg of my trip I do not dock back in time because we lost time looking for this docking station. I will hopefully not be charged for going over the time limit. Thanks!
This was my first experience with BCycle and I LOVED it; I was able to get all around San Antonio and visit all four NHP. The last stop in a park was a bit hard to find; but the other stops very easy. My only comment would be longer than 1 hour as I had 2 min to find the last place to dock the bike and I got a little anxiety.
I'd really love to see more be cycle stations north downtown in the midtown area because the creeks that are being worked on are about to open and there's no way for the residence of Midtown to access the Greenway and enjoy the rest of the trail without having to find somewhere to park in an dense neighborhood like lavaca and king william.
It’s easy to take out a bike & re-dock it along the Mission Reach trail. The bikes are typically in very good repair and charged and ready to go. They’re great to ride up and down the hills with the electric assist for senior adults.
