Dennis Sumida has helped the voyaging community for years to ensure that our cultural makana or gifts are able to be safely brought into other countries. Most of these gifts are handmade of natural products that must be fumigated before they can be brought into other nations. He has always found a way to enable the fumigation of these gifts, whether by contacting people on other islands or through access to his own site on Oʻahu. We are all so grateful for his kindness and professionalism. Thank you for the opportunity to thank him.
