Convenience of riding a bike and getting to a destination more quickly. Also useful for things like bike repair or car repair drop offs when you need another way to be back home.
After our first rental, I found the bikes to be in reasonable condition, although you may have to try a couple do to low batteries, or some component (brakes, etc.) being in less that good condition.
Strangely, picking up the bikes was no issue, but finding a place to return them was harder. We did find places for them in the end.
All in all a great thing to use.
We had a great experience picking up bikes yesterday and heading downtown for the Solstice Parade. I really appreciate the number of stations available, especially on busy days. The bikes were well maintained and we enjoyed dropping off and picking up in convenient locations. Thank you!
I like that the bikes are close to my home and work until today. This afternoon the Cabrillo Puerto Vallarta station got taken away. I am so sad. Maybe you can bring it back?
I appreciate the access (there seems to be ample stations where I need them) and the bikes are well maintained. I don’t have a car and I use my analog bike for fun and BCycle for purpose like running errands.
Availability. App ease. Makes visiting SB a fun experience every time. Downside was my first bike would not keep battery engaged despite full charge. Luckily was able to swap but unfortunately was charged 8 dollars for the faulty bike I used for all of 3 minutes.
Somehow I didn't realize that. My rental had gone through so I did it again so I got charged twice when I really only meant to get it once. But as long as the past never expires, I'll use it again on the in the end of June on another trip I make on the train.
It was really nice and convenient though I didn't feel like walking home nor spending the money for an Uber so it saved me a few dollars. Even though I still had to walk three blocks, I feel it was worth it.
