I like that students learn how to perform with other students in a band. I wish that the program was more affordable and wished some of the performances didn’t end up on important dates like on Father’s Day.
My son was able to show up with no professional lessons and able to have a blast. Camp was all he talked about each evening, and his final performance at the end of the week has been the highlight of his summer so far.
The camp last week was so great! My daughter had so much fun and found a love for the drums!! Thank you for setting up such a cool space for kiddos to explore their musical interests. The staff was very friendly and made an awesome environment for the kids.
It's one of the best learning environments I've found. Not an intimidating environment at all, and the instructors are very professional. The feedback you receive is constructive and helpful.
The instructors capability to tailor lessons to each childs skill set and teach them songs they are interested in. This encourages the child to be more engaged in playing outside of lessons. The staff at SOR are incredible and encourage the kids to try playing challenging music to expand their skills.
Variety of music and abilities are all important and met. Confidence builder for littles and for the adults as well. All around appreciation for multiple genres of music
We like that all of students get a chance to perform--newer, less experienced musicians are still given multiple parts. The BEST thing about the program, however, is the staff! Enthusiastic, supportive teachers make all the difference.
I love the community and the positivity of all of the band directors and music instructors. I love the method approach. I am learning music from the beginning and it isn’t a frustrating endeavor to learn a new instrument.
I like that my son gets a private lesson and also a group band lesson. Having the dual path approach has helped him learn at an accelerated rate. I like that he has been put into a group that's around the same level as he is because it helps to keep him progressing. I also love the songs that they get to learn - it makes it really fun for him to learn about different rock bands and what their styles of music are like.
