You teach my son music he wants to hear and make it fun. You build them up and encourage them so that they build confidence and believe in themselves that they are able to do it. My son loves that he gets to learn to play some of his favorite songs on his guitar. He loves being able to go up on stage and perform. The teachers he has are fantastic!

Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. It has a good vibe. It's a little nerve racking to step into a new situation and everyone has been great.

Our son, Matthew, has been at SOR for 3 years. He loves the Program and so do we. It's the one thing that we don't have to force him to practice. He takes drum lessons but has also picked up guitar. His drum instructor, Tommy Snider, is awesome! We can't say enough good things about him. We're a SOR family for life!

The kids love the music and learning to play it, and as parents we love to hear them perform! Shows are EXCELLENT, staff / teachers are wonderful and very knowledgeable.

I love the concept of group rehearsals and private classes. My son has grown leaps and bounds in the short time he has been with the Columbia location. The variety of choices of music is also a plus!

The atmosphere fosters creativity and the focus on preparing towards a show is key to motivate the kids to learn and practice.

I like that the kids are involved in choosing what they want to learn. I like that one of our instructors sends notices after the session with my daughter. My son's new instructor does not; I wish he did. The instructors do give a verbal acknowledgement after class, which is nice, but the email provides a resource I can refer back to.

My son (who never likes to do anything but play video games) really enjoyed the Metal Camp. He loves to sing, but he has never been willing to take vocal lessons until last week when he took a lesson at SOR. I took a chance with signing him up for the camp. He doesn't really care for heavy metal, but at one point he actually said that he was "having a blast", which totally floored me. He was actually motivated to get up each morning and get to the camp, and it was really awesome to see the group perform at the end of the week. I almost didn't enroll him in the camp, because I really didn't understand what was involved. I am not involved in music in any way, and my son had only taken one vocal lesson a couple of days before. Your website could definitely be improved to give descriptions about the camp. I just went back and visited the site, and found the parent SOR website, and it has lots of info and descriptions, whereas your site provides very little. I was not aware of the parent site while signing up. I highly recommend that you provide links from your site back to the parent site for descriptions of the programs.

The ability to build up the confidence of the player.
