Owen is really enjoying his current rock band and they are putting him on vocal selections that are more in his voice range. In the past he has sometimes been put on songs that are too low for him. It is great seeing his progress and that he is having fun. I like the mix of experience levels in his current band where he can learn from older students. Thanks for all your hard work!
My instructor, Joell, is such a patient teacher, he never gets mad when I don't practice and gives me great feedback on how to get better.
I also really appreciate how flexible Tracy and the front office staff have been with my constantly changing schedule. They have been awesome and so easy to work with.
School of Rock Dallas on Mockingbird Lane is comprised of an amazing team of people. Patient, know their stuff, good role models. It's a joy to see my daughter falling in love with new-to-her music and finding confidence through performing.
This place is a great idea, but it'd be nothing without these wonderful humans running this particular school.
What I like about this program is the fundamentals and pace, allowing my children to feel successful while learning a new instrument. As an educator teaching a child begins with building their confidence, and I feel that School of Rock does that immediately. This has allowed my children to feel successful and wanting to learn more. watching my kids from week one to week four have grown tremendously and have enjoyed learning to play a new instrument.
The program is great, the new location is very nice, and the instructors are fantastic. Tracy is awesome, and Noah has been a great teacher to my son for a few years now.
They are a great way to learn multiple practical musical skills for rock/pop fans - training wheels on being in a real band. Playing in real venues before decent sized crowds is great.
I love how SOR puts the kids in a band and teach them how to work as a team from the beginning. I also, love the approach in general to how they teach the kids. They make it fun for them.
Combination of lessons and applying what is learned in performance bands. Relevant, interesting options for performance bands and camps. Schedule flexibility.
They are fun.
We are playing good songs and everyone is supporting each other. I think there's room to improve in terms of getting people matched with the right parts and motivated to learn their parts, but as our songs are coming together its fun and sounds better. That's what its all about.
