Friendly staff, my son had fun

My grandchildren have enjoyed attending the oast two summers. Bonus for me, they travel from Wisconsin to do so.

School of Rock has been a game changer. There is nothing like this experience offered for all aged kids and teenagers from different musical knowledge and backgrounds. There is nothing in community education programs, no school clubs and organizations, no workshops, and not any local summer camps. The only options are private lessons or middle school/high school bands (marching, symphonic, jazz, orchestra, choir). School of Rock is unique and very special. The staff is experienced, trained, knowledgable, personable, welcoming, and encouraging. They take on the greatest artists and bands of all time and guide young musicians in one-on-one lessons and then they pull everyone together as a band to tackle the ins and outs of performing together on stage. As a parent, I am so thankful for these students to have found peers and adults with the same passion for iconic music. The bandmates count on each other for cues, guidance, cohesiveness, and unity. Because these students are part of a band, that accountability for practicing at home and knowing the week to week material is motivating for self improvement so practicing isn't a chore that has to be done but a inner desire to want to learn. The staff does a great job organizing the flow of their time during band rehearsals and personal lessons. Parents are well informed of each lesson and the content that was covered with an email sent from the instructors. The payment process is effortless and worth every penny. Cancelling and rescheduling lessons was simple for the office staff is excellent and timely with communication. The concert presentations were done well too: organized, entertaining, great venue choices, and all musicians were supported by staff when their nerves kicked in or stage fright occurred. Parents need to know there is a home and community of other kids that love great music, guitars, singing, drums, keyboards, and performing on stage. As a parent of a 16 year old who attends School of Rock these past few months, wish I would have known about it years ago.

Benjamin and my son click. Bryce looks forward to lessons with him every week.

We love the competency and friendliness of the front of house staff and management. They are so down to earth and professional - I have total confidence in them and they are easy to talk to. We love the kindness, talent and professionalism of the teachers. They have changed my son's life and I feel totally safe having my child with them.

I’ve learned so much! Thanks for all the help!

My son is engaged and enjoys lessons.

Group work, watching us get things figured out as a band

My son has really enjoyed going to lessons. He is always enthusiastic about going. It’s a very positive environment. I enjoy the fact he also gets to choose some songs to learn. This has really peaked his interest.

Getting students up performing together on stage. I perform in bands and write music, and I learn so much by just doing that, has to be great to get them comfortable with that.

The staff and environment

We absolutely love the staff! They are what inspire and encourage my son each week! His love for music and guitar is directly related to how much he loves his instructors! The entire experience has been wonderful for my child's growth in music as well as personal growth!

Wonderful instructors, amazing environment to learn music, and very positive experience overall!

I like that SOR gives them good insight on how the kids need to improve and confidence.

I love my lessons and the culture at School of Rock!

Everything! The people are fun, encouraging, passionate, and so kind. My daughter started and now my husband is part of why SoR family too!

Instructors and staff are great! Events are well organized and fun. Students show a lot of growth and improvement.

Very engaging and a positive experience for Caleb. He’s developed a passion for music and playing… it’s great to see!

My son is always excited about his lessons. He especially loves band rehearsal. It’s always refreshing to see young people become passionate about their interests.

I love the program set up: one on one lessons included with being in a band, that has really helped my son complete his understanding and has helped him pickup guitar easier
